Franklin Leo is a writer from a dairy farm region of Southern California. Having grown up on the edge of Los Angeles, she was raised with a fascination for the dark, mysterious, and fantastical things that the world often contains. She tutors English and Writing at the undergraduate level and has led workshops and editing groups driven to improving drafts, whether fiction or nonfiction.
Because of her interests, Franklin dabbles in the genres of horror and fantasy. Even in nonfiction, which she occasionally writes for some spare change, she uses her descriptions to try and romanticize the world around her. Her work has appeared in magazines and anthologies across North America, and she has several books in the works including Adventure Deer and Blowing Smoke: A Dragon’s Tale.
