Amy Clare Fontaine

Author PhotoAmy Clare Fontaine is a wildlife biologist who has studied wolves, hyenas, and other creatures in the field. As an author of fantasy, science fiction, and poetry, she loves to write about magic, animals, and adventure.

Amy’s writings been featured in the ROAR anthology series and other furry anthologies, as well as in mainstream speculative fiction markets. Her fiction was nominated for a Cóyotl Award and two Leo Literary Awards. Her first novel, Mist, a young adult fantasy about shapeshifters, elementalMist Front Cover magic, and being the change you wish to see in the world, was published by Thurston Howl Publications in 2017. In addition to her membership in the Furry Writers’ Guild, Amy is a member of the Codex Writers’ Group. Amy also helps out as an assistant editor for Ottercorrect Literature Services and an editorial assistant for Cosmic Roots and Eldritch Shores.

Along with writing and chasing wild animals, Amy enjoys stargazing, drawing, and playing guitar. She likes to see the world, not only as it is, but as it could be.
