Gordon Gearhart is a Touchstone Award nominated poet who has been writing haiku and senryu after rediscovering the form in 2014. Since then, his poems has been published in several journals online and in print including Frogpond – The Journal of the Haiku Society of America, Modern Haiku, Mayfly, and Prune Juice – Journal of Senryu. Gordon was invited by the Nick Virgilio Haiku Association to be a featured poet for an open mic event in 2023. The Nick Virgilio Haiku Association invited him to participate in their “Haiku Head-to-Head” fundraiser event in 2025.
