Kadon L. Peterson (1997 – present), known online as February, is an American science fiction author based in California. His work focusses on existentialism and transhumanism, often by taking pieces of their respective philosophies, stirring them, and composing characters from the result who then generate the story. Peterson is a discovery writer without a plan, and thus relies on the internal logic of his characters, their ideas, and their world to carry his narratives to a satisfactory conclusion. In his stories, anthropomorphic animal characters, whether cosmetic or genetic, are typically featured in primary roles.
