Brian Lee Cook

Brian Lee CookBrian Lee Cook grew up in the rural town of Vernal, Utah.  He grew up with a strong interest in writing, several of his poems being published in his high school’s yearly magazine.  In 2009, Brian’s comedic short story “Alexandre and the Flying Saucer” was published in the Anthrocon con book.  He graduated from Utah State University in 2011 with a bachelor’s in American Studies.  His work was published in Sigma Tau Delta’s The Rectangle and Utah State University’s Scribendi, where he was awarded first place in the poetry and essay categories.  Though he mostly wrote poetry and literary fiction, he wished to bring his writing to the fandom.  After having his work rejected from various venues, he created his own publication, Allasso.  All three volumes have been recognized as the FWG’s Book of the Month, and the magazine has been nominated for the 2011 Ursa Major Award for Best Magazine.  Brian currently works as administrator of the Anthropomorphic Writers and Readers Foundation, a writers’ workshop group.  Elsewhere in the fandom, he is an administrator of Furtopia, and he enjoys fursuiting as his fursona, Digby the Fox.
